2012 CONTINUED
We are halfway through October and the season is well and truly wound down. Safe for the odd job at the beautiful Aikwood Tower near Selkirk, which is a wonderful addition to our list of preferred venues in the Borders, and Musselburgh Races things are reasonably quiet. Speaking of new venues we welcome the news that Barony Castle hotel near Peebles is opening up for marquee events – for information contact Ashley MacDougall at the hotel – and we are also quoting for weddings at The Woll Restaurant in Ashkirk. The first weekend in November is unusually busy, however, with a wedding in Bonchester Bridge (heads up to Storage Xpress) and the Lennoxlove Book Festival, which this year welcomes a certain JK Rowling to their lineup. In the meantime everything is getting fixed, cleaned, polished, maintained and stored away until next season. The office is busy preparing for 2013 too, with loads of enquiries, quotes and meetings on the go for weddings, corporate events and sporting fixtures. Thanks to all of our clients, suppliers, venues and staff who have helped to keep us busy this year – we never take our work for granted and constantly remind ourselves that we are only as good as our last job.
